Log Export Packing
Our Hemmant depot is home to our very own Log Export Packing facility. The process and our services flow as per the following:
- Logs are delivered to the from the forest and weighed via the Public Weighbridge
- Our Log Grabs or Sennebogen unload the timber into specific customer bays
- AO inspections are carried out on the logs and containers prior to packing
- Once the containers are packed, we verified the gross weight of the containers for trade and SOLAS purposes via the Container Weigh-bed
- Containers fumigated (if required) and then stored until vessel receivals open
- Once vessel receivals open, the containers are delivered into the terminal to meet the vessel cut off
